My goal when photographing children is to capture them in the moment, whether feeling playful or contemplative, so that they are at their most natural. Sessions are fun, relaxed, and low pressure.
These resulting images stay with parents and loved ones as lifelong keepsakes when they reflect that child's unique spirit and personality.
A passion for travel has been a constant in my life much like photography. I value traveling for the constantly shifting perspectives it gives me. I always seek to capture the unique beauty of a destination whether I'm exploring it solo or with my family.
Did you know that your LinkedIn profile is fourteen times more likely to be viewed if it features a photo? First impressions are everything and increasingly these introductions are being made online.
My role as a photographer is to create an image that is fresh and reflects the mood and message that you would like to project. I specialize in professional photos with personality that reflect who you are.
Portraits of the entire family and of siblings are unique because they capture the special chemistry that families and children have with one another.
Started in the fall of 2014, my "Hat Project" has become an annual tradition in my home borough of Brooklyn. It's a light-hearted photoshoot with a simple invitation; I encourage kids to don their favorite head gear for a fun session in front of the camera.
This smidge of silly gently prods kids to let their guard down and be themselves. The result? A shot that allows their true personality to shine through. It's always a good time and kids loving showing off their favorites hats!
Water has always inspired me with its change in pace, its rippling, and constant shifting in contrast. The resulting images I've created reflect that appreciation. Love it as I do ? Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing my waves-inspired work.
I'm always on the lookout for opportunities to collaborate with some of New York's growing niche brands. An ongoing collaboration, which includes the creation of seasonal lookbook images, with Brooklyn clothing boutique Layla has been particularly satisfying for me on a creative level. Capturing images that reflect a brand's personality in a unique way is a challenge I relish.
Every April, I offer mini portrait sessions just in time for Mother's Day. Sweet and simple, the resulting portraits make for a memorable gift for moms and grandmas.
Several years ago, my younger son attended preschool at Brooklyn's Language and Laughter Studio; there I had the opportunity to capture him and his classmates for their school portraits. My goal was to take photographs that really let them shine as individuals.
Since that first year, it's been gratifying on return trips to meet new classes and see new faces. I've also expanded these services to other area schools. I value the inherent positive energy of children and there is never a shortage of that youthful zeal on school picture day!
